SHBG

DESCRIPTION:
SHBG is a globulin that binds sex hormones and transports them throughout the body (estradiol and testosterone). SHBG is a large glycoprotein with a mass of approximately 95 kD.

DETERMINATION:
Method of determination: ECLIA. The sample for analysis is serum. The sample is stable for 3 days at 2-8°C, 1 month at -20°C.

RESULT:
The reference interval depends on gender, age, and the determination method. The reference interval is displayed on each validated report.
