Biological Age Sensor

Aging is a biological process accompanied by numerous changes at the molecular level. Biological age does not necessarily coincide with an individual’s chronological age, and the difference is caused by slowed or accelerated aging. Due to this fact, biological age is a better indicator of the general state of health and the aging process than chronological age. The biological age of each person is affected by the length of telomeres, protective structures at the ends of chromosomes.

Scientists have identified genes and polymorphisms that influence telomere length and therefore biological age (TERT rs2242652; TERT rs2735940; BICD1 rs2630578; PPARG rs1801282). Based on the genetic results, the patient receives information about the organism’s ability to lengthen telomeres and preventive micronutrients (vitamin D3, vitamin E, omega 3 fatty acids, resveratrol…) that favorably affect telomerase activity and telomere length
