DESCRIPTION:
Immunoglobulin G makes up about 75% of the total immunoglobulins in the serum, it is found in intercellular spaces and protects these spaces from infections. The only immunoglobulin passes through the placenta, the fetus produces very little of it, but receives it from the mother. It reaches adult concentration only in 3-5 years of life.
DETERMINATION:
Determination method: Turbidimetric determination method. Sample: Serum or plasma (hepatin or EDTA) The sample is stable for 7 days at 2-8°C, 3 months at -20°C. Samples that are hemolyzed and/or lipemic are not suitable for analysis.
