In some people, gluten triggers an immune response in the gut that tries to fight gluten as if it were a bacterial infection. The body’s reaction to gluten usually leads to a chronic condition that damages the small intestine and causes numerous symptoms such as diarrhea, loss of appetite and weight loss. Based on certain genetic polymorphisms, the Gluten Sensor shows the risk of developing gluten intolerance. If the analysis shows that you have a predisposition to develop gluten intolerance, then it is recommended to avoid food containing gluten in order not to put yourself at risk of developing gluten intolerance.
