DESCRIPTION:
Human epididymal protein 4 (HE4) is a biomarker with high specificity for the ovary. With its help, it is possible to distinguish between benign and malignant ovarian changes.

DETERMINATION:
Determination method: ECLIA. The sample for analysis is serum or plasma (EDTA, heparin). The sample is stable for 48 hours at 2-8°C, 12 weeks at -20°C.

RESULT:
The reference interval depends on the age and the method of determination. The reference interval is displayed on each validated result.
