DESCRIPTION:
Food intolerance is a delayed pathological reaction in which the immune system recognizes characteristic proteins of a specific food as a foreign substance and produces elevated levels of IgG antibodies. Unlike allergies, food intolerance does not involve a rapid cause-and-effect reaction; symptoms appear after several days, making it difficult for a person to identify which food is causing the problem. At Poliklinika Analiza, you can choose from three panels depending on the quantity and types of foods you wish to test. Before testing, you must be fasting or at least three hours without food, as possible lipemia in the sample may complicate testing. It is also important to note that if you are taking corticosteroid or cytostatic therapy, you must discontinue it at least one month before testing.
