DESCRIPTION:<\/strong>
\nInsulin is a peptide hormone synthesized by the beta cells of the islets of Langerhans in the pancreas. Insulin enters the circulation through the portal vein. Insulin in the circulation serves as a “carrier” of glucose that introduces glucose into the cells, where the glucose is consumed in order for the organism to obtain the necessary energy (ATP). When insulin regulation is disturbed in the body, diabetes develops (type 1, type 2).<\/p>\n

DETERMINATION:<\/strong>
\nDetermination method: ECLIA. The sample for analysis is serum or plasma (EDTA, heparin). The sample is stable for 24 hours at 2-8\u00b0C, six months at -20\u00b0C. The sample for analysis must not be hemolytic.<\/p>\n

RESULT:<\/strong>
