Women get sick more often than men in a ratio of 2:1. Depression affects a person&#8217;s entire life, from feelings to thoughts, sleep, diet and all the way to social and emotional relationships. The disease is generally accepted as the result of a combination of genetic, environmental and psychological factors.<\/p>\n<p>Through scientific research, several genes and polymorphisms have been identified that are associated with the risk of developing depression. Depression Sensor is the most comprehensive genetic result that provides information on 8 genetic variations involved in the risk of developing the disease (BDNF rs6265; BDNF rs10835210; FKBP5 rs1360780; FKBP5 rs9470080; FKBP5 rs4713916; FKBP5 rs9296158; MTHFR rs1801133; NR3C1 rs6198), also provides information on the possibility of developing chronic depression and on lifestyle habits and lifestyle changes that reduce the risk of developing the disease.
